About Us
Our Story
“OUR STORY” starts nearly 50 years ago playing basketball against each other at our local CYO and then eventually becoming teammates on our Catholic High School basketball team. Although "fitness people" weren't really a "thing" back then, we had always considered ourselves as athletes.
As life took over after high school, we took different paths; going to different colleges and diving into different career paths, only to eventually end up in the “BIG APPLE” together once again. Our friendship has survived marriages, divorces, children, career climbing, owning businesses, selling businesses, illness, heartache all with laughter, love and joy at its core.
The REJOICE story began as we left an energizing and motivating Spin class on Manhattan's Upper Westside, which we considered rare due to the mundane and routine exercise classes offered in NYC. Having become disenchanted with all the exercise options, such as dance, cardio, spin, strength training, boxing classes, we came up with a new fitness idea. We created something that emanates the feeling of community, accomplishment, motivation, and just overall fun. And it is a single, full-body workout. You do not have to do separate workouts every week.
We think we created something to "rejoice" over. We hope you agree!

Our Team
Once we met Kathy, we knew we had hit the jackpot. Having just returned from teaching aboard, she was ready for her next great adventure. Not only is she an amazing instructor with broad experience across dance and fitness disciplines, but she embodies the enthusiasm and purposeful commitment to fitness, particularly how it should elevate our daily life experience. We then asked some of our closest friends and colleagues to try it out. (Pic here is after the first class we ever did - see how happy they look!) They loved it so much that we knew we were ready to spread our wings and invite more guests as we enter the Trial Phase of RejoiceFit.
